After our two days at Sesame Street, we headed up the road to the Crayola Factory. It's a super cool place where they show you how crayons and markers are made and you get to try out all of the neat stuff that the Crayola company makes.
Mommy was really excited about the part where they show you how crayons are made, and this is why: she remembers the episode of Mr. Rogers where he went to the factory, and she's wanted to go there ever since! Mommy and Rachel (Reese's mommy) were all excited about this one crayon in a case:
Silly Mommies.
Anyway, we tried to entertain ourselves while we waited for the "show" to start.
Now, I have to be honest, the show part was a little boring for the kids, although the crayon man seemed very nice.
Reese and I did get to roll the paper wrappers onto our very own brand new red crayons, so that was cool.
After the show with the nice crayon man, the fun really started. There was so much to do there!
We colored with crayons...
We painted with our hands (and with bubble wrap!)...
We played in the playroom (check me out in the silly mirror!)...
We used sidewalk chalk (inside!)...
We drew pictures on this cool glow-in-the-dark board...
We played with Model Magic clay...
And we even painted with melted crayon wax!
Even the babies got to play: there was this neat camera thing that you could sit or stand in front of and it would project an image on the wall with pretty colors and patterns.
Shelby and I got to see the world's largest crayon!
The Crayola Factory was lots of fun!
We had a blast on the Eye/Pattison family vacation! Hopefully we can do it again next year!
